Another wonkey week :) Tonight is the 44th Annual Awards Show for the Connecticut Art Directors Club, and my last show as President! It’s always an amazing night and I’m excited to see so many CT creatives. And then I head to Boston to celebrate my bestie’s 30th birthday! AND THEN on Tuesday, Curtis and I leave for Kansas for the week. My dad’s whole family is in KS and after all this time…Curtis has never been! I’m getting really excited to show him around.

So it will be a bit until we meet again. Happy 4th of July and see you in awhile xo

What a weeeeek. Curtis ended up in the ER on Monday night after insanely bad back spasms that kept him on the floor for 24 hours :( I took turns with both my mom and his parents taking care of him/being able to spend chunks of time with him while I went to work. But now the week is over and things are looking better! And I am very much interested in making that lemon rhubarb tart! What are you up to this weekend? xo

Ah, tomorrow is JUNE - what!! Speaking of what, what a week! Today I released the Summer 2019 issue of UConn Magazine to the printer, tonight I’ll be out to dinner with our 5 CADC judges and a few board members, and tomorrow is going to be a whirlwind day of judging! It’s so interesting being on the other side of things for design awards shows, and I love being apart of the process. Hopefully I can get a little relaxation in on Sunday :)

In true busy-life fashion, I missed my Friday post! So here we are on Monday morning :) How was your weekend? My Friday was spent with the new UConn President for a cover photoshoot, Saturday I had a CADC organizational day to prepare for our upcoming show, and Sunday we had a tag sale with my mom and her friend Joan. It was a long day, but we sold about $75 worth of stuff and the rest went to Goodwill - so we are free of these items :) Looking forward to a slightly more chill week! xo

The color of that hibiscus latte is gorgeous! I purchased some hibiscus tea a few years ago for the pretty tin it was in, but it ended up being really tasty…I think I will have to give it a go again! And this pop of color is very welcome on this gross, dreary day. We have a weekend of birthday celebrations this weekend which is going to be so much fun! Beer and pizza with friends at Hanging Hills in Hartford on Saturday, and brunch at Rooster Co. on Sunday with our parents for my mom’s birthday.

Happy Friday! Curtis and I are heading up to Vermont this weekend for some skiing with friends, and we’re hoping we might get a little bit of this spring weather. Spring skiing is the best! If not, it will be fun all the same! Since it’s near St Patricks day, the mountain has a super fun vibe - we went up last year as well and there was live music and we had beers on the patio.

Have I mentioned that I’m going to be in New Orleans at the end of the month for a conference?! I am SO excited! I went to this same conference last year when it was in Seattle - which was also an amazing trip. This time Curtis won’t be accompanying me unfortunately, BUT I am hoping to meet up with a high school friend who also happens to be visiting the same week! I need to start planning! I won’t be there long, but I can’t wait to wander and take in all of the sights.
